GEA House Competitions

Global Education Academy has adopted the Ron Clarke Academy House System in our middle grades to promote a positive school culture and climate for our students and staff!

Our students are sorted into four different groups, or  “Houses:” Amistad, Altruismo, Isibindi, and Reveur, regardless of their grade level.

Each House has a color and mascot that represents the culture and values of the students and staff within it.On Minimum Day Fridays, school-wide special activities, or “House Competitions,” are held during the last part of the day.

These House Competitions foster teamwork, school spirit, relationships, leadership, friendly competition, and most importantly, a culture of belonging. In addition to earning points for their House by participating in House Competitions, students can also earn points for their House by attending school events, showing exceptional character, and being good role models to their peers

At the end of the year, the House with the most points is celebrated with a party and a trophy that is showcased in the Main Office.

This system is designed to help students find a sense of belonging and community within their school. Students remain in their sorted house throughout their time in middle school, allowing older students to serve as mentors for incoming sixth graders.
